CounterPest Ireland
A Midlands pest-control site built around one action: call now or request a quote. The kind of page an urgent search should land on.
Honest market ranges and our typical starting points, in one guide.
We audit, build and manage Google Ads campaigns for Irish businesses as a certified Google Partner. One PPC specialist on your account, less budget lost to the wrong clicks, and more of it turned into real enquiries and sales.
Plenty of business owners have paid for Google Ads management and never quite known what they were buying. Here is the honest version: a Google Ads specialist takes ownership of the account, decides which searches are worth paying for, and keeps proving that decision with numbers you can check.
Campaign and ad group structure, keyword selection, match types, negative keyword lists, locations, schedules and device targeting. The unglamorous scaffolding that decides whether your budget reaches buyers or browsers.
Get this wrong and no amount of clever ad copy rescues it.
Reading the search terms report and cutting the ones that will never convert. Testing new headlines. Adjusting bids and budgets between campaigns. Watching competitors move and responding. Paid search is a live auction, not a switch you flick on.
We keep an eye on what Google and Microsoft change in their ad platforms so your account is not still running last year's playbook.
A monthly report in plain English on enquiries, sales, cost per lead and where the spend went, plus what we are changing next and why. No dashboards full of impressions dressed up as progress.
If a month goes badly, you hear that from us first.
Curious how we think about accounts before you talk to anyone? Our practical tips for getting more from a Google Ads budget covers the same ground we work through on live accounts.
Before we touch your budget we look at what is already there: which campaigns waste money, which keywords never convert, and where the quick wins are. If Google Ads is not right for you yet, we will tell you that too.
Search, Shopping and remarketing campaigns structured around the terms that actually bring you customers. Tight keyword groups, strong ad copy and negative keywords that stop your budget leaking on clicks that were never going to buy. If you sell online, that includes the product feed behind Shopping, and our guide to Google Ads for online stores walks through how those pieces fit together.
If the tracking is wrong, every decision after it is wrong. We set up accurate conversion tracking for calls, forms and online sales, so the return on ad spend you see is the return you are really getting, not a guess.
We manage your account continuously: adjusting bids, testing ad copy, refining audiences and cutting what does not work. As your business grows and your goals change, the campaigns change with them.
Clear reports in plain English, focused on enquiries, sales and cost per lead, not vanity metrics. You always know what your spend is doing and where the next improvement is coming from.
The same four stages run whether we are starting a brand new account or taking over one that has been running for years. Nothing moves until you know what is changing and why.
We review the existing account, your market and your margins: wasted spend, search terms, quality signals and what a return worth aiming for actually looks like for your business.
We rebuild or restructure campaigns around the searches that convert, write the ads, set negative keyword lists and wire up conversion tracking before a euro moves.
Continuous work on bids, budgets, keywords, audiences and ad copy, week after week, to pull more results from the same spend rather than asking for more of it.
Transparent reporting on leads, sales and cost per lead, with the reasoning behind last month's changes and the plan for the month ahead.
Most of the accounts we manage did not start with us. Some were built by a previous agency, some by the owner on a wet Sunday, and a few have been running since the platform was called Google AdWords. If AdWords management is the phrase you have been searching for, this is the same platform under its newer name, and that long account history is usually worth keeping rather than throwing away.
So we do not begin by deleting things. We take management access through our Google Partner manager account, which means you keep ownership of the account and the billing, and you can remove our access at any time. Nothing gets restructured until the audit is finished and you have agreed what is changing.
The audit is a straight read of what is already there, written in plain language rather than platform jargon. If the account is in decent shape and only needs tightening, we will tell you that instead of selling a rebuild. Send us the account details and we will come back with what we find.
Any agency can put a return on ad spend figure in a slide. That number only means something if the conversions behind it are real, counted once, and attached to actions that actually make you money. We would rather set that up properly at the start than explain an inflated figure six months later.
So conversion tracking gets built and verified before we optimise towards anything: form submissions, phone calls, online orders and order values where the platform allows it. Cookie consent, duplicate tags, thank-you pages that fire twice and sales that close offline all distort the picture, and we account for them instead of quietly ignoring them.
Once that is solid, the reporting can answer the only questions worth asking: how many enquiries or sales came in, what each one cost, and which campaigns earned the budget they were given.
We would rather turn down work than take a monthly fee for advertising that was never going to pay for itself. Here is the honest test we apply before we quote.
Service businesses and online stores also need different accounts, not the same template. A local service business is usually chasing calls and quote requests inside a defined area, so tight geographic targeting, call tracking and ad scheduling do the heavy lifting. An online store lives or dies on the product feed, the margin on each product and how Shopping performs against Search. Not sure which side you fall on? Tell us what you sell and we will give you a straight answer, even if the answer is not yet.
A paid click is only worth what the page behind it does with it. These are businesses we have built that page for, each one structured so an ad has somewhere sensible to land.

A Midlands pest-control site built around one action: call now or request a quote. The kind of page an urgent search should land on.

A large trade-tools catalogue structured for fast product discovery, which is the groundwork any Shopping campaign depends on.

A product site that explains itself quickly and gives both kinds of visitor an obvious next move, so paid traffic is not lost to confusion.
Plant and equipment hire is another one where a fast enquiry decides the job: see how we handled that for CPS Plant Hire, or browse the rest of the work below.
The questions Irish business owners ask us most before they start advertising, or before they move an existing account.
PPC stands for pay per click. Google Ads is Google's pay-per-click platform: your ad can appear at the top of the search results and you only pay when somebody actually clicks it. You are not buying space, you are buying visits from people already searching for what you sell. Google Ads management is the ongoing work of deciding which searches are worth paying for and making each click as likely as possible to become an enquiry or a sale.
A Google Ads manager owns the account on your behalf: campaign structure, keywords, negative keywords, ad copy, budgets and bids, conversion tracking and reporting. Day to day it is unglamorous work: reading search terms, cutting waste, testing new ads and moving budget towards what converts. You see the result of that work in a monthly report and a plan for the month ahead.
Management is charged as a monthly fee, separate from the ad spend that goes to Google. The fee reflects how much account there is to manage, so a single local search campaign takes less work than a Shopping feed with thousands of products. We quote it plainly before anything starts, so you always know what goes to Google and what comes to us.
Yes, and it is usually the better route. You keep the account, the billing and the performance history that Google's bidding has already learned from. We take management access through our Google Partner manager account, audit what is there, then agree the changes with you before making them. Nothing gets deleted just to make a new agency's work look better.
It is the same platform under a newer name. Google renamed AdWords to Google Ads in 2018, so if you are searching for AdWords management or AdWords PPC management, this is the service you are looking for. Plenty of the accounts we take over have been running since it was called AdWords, and that history is worth preserving.
Google Ads can drive traffic from day one, unlike SEO which builds over months. The first few weeks are about gathering search-term data and cutting waste, after which we tune towards a lower cost per lead. Real momentum usually shows within the first month or two of active management, and campaigns keep improving as the data builds.
ROAS is return on ad spend: the revenue a campaign brings in for every euro you put in. It matters because it tells you, in plain terms, whether the advertising is paying for itself. It is only meaningful if conversions are tracked correctly, which is why any agency quoting a ROAS figure should be able to show you exactly where that number comes from.
There is no single right number. It depends on your margins, your area and how competitive your keywords are. We would rather start sensibly, prove the return and then scale what works than burn a large budget guessing. A budget too small to buy meaningful clicks in a competitive market is worse than not advertising at all, and we will say so. For a wider sense of what digital work costs in Ireland, our costs guide is a useful starting point.
Yes, and the two work together. Sending paid clicks to a slow or unclear page wastes money. We can build or improve the website behind your ads and add long-term SEO, so you are not renting all of your traffic from Google forever.
Most local and national businesses in Ireland can make Google Ads work with the right setup, from trades and services to online stores. What matters is that the numbers add up. We look at your margins honestly and only recommend ads where they can pay their way.
